Job Title: Head Dispatcher

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Head Dispatcher to join our team at Canadian Flatbeds Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Head Dispatcher will be responsible for overseeing the operational logistics of our organization, ensuring the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and resolving work problems. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have a strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specific plans to prioritize tasks and ensure efficient workflow
  • Organize tasks to accomplish work and oversee operational logistics
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Train workers in duties and policies
  • Conduct performance reviews and co-ordinate, assign, and review work
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Veterans
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports mature workers
  • Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports members of visible minorities
Work Environment:

The Head Dispatcher will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team.
