Help Desk Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Help Desk Technician to join our Information Technology team at St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to students, teachers, and staff, ensuring that our computer systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, students, and parents, responding to technical inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Analyze and resolve computer issues, escalating complex problems to senior technical staff as needed.
- Provide training and support to students on computer hardware and software, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to effectively use our technology resources.
- Document and maintain accurate records of technical issues, resolutions, and training provided.
- Collaborate with the Help Desk Supervisor to develop and implement technical support processes and procedures.
- Set up and configure audio and video equipment for school events, presentations, concerts, and live performances.
- Operate audio and video equipment as needed, providing technical support to students and staff.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Programming, Networking, or Computer Science.
- Experience in a help desk or technical support role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of PC and Mac platforms, network systems, and computer design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and staff.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with a variety of computer software and hardware, including Blackbaud, iMovie, Microsoft Office, and Apple devices.
