Job Summary

Advanced Care & Education Daycare Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Program Staff Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our childcare program, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Child Development Planning: Collaborate with early childhood educators to assess children's development and create personalized learning plans that cater to their unique needs.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the daycare equipment is well-maintained and safe for children to use.
  • Program Support: Assist early childhood educators in implementing programs that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Creative Expression: Encourage children to express their creativity through various art forms, music, and physical activities.
  • Storytelling and Engagement: Engage children in activities through storytelling, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Personal Care: Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Progress Reporting: Submit written observations on children's progress to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Staff Meetings: Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
  • Interpersonal Skills: Possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Communication: Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Interpersonal Awareness: Show awareness of the importance of building strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work Term: Commit to a permanent work term with Advanced Care & Education Daycare Inc.
  • Work Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Hours: Work a regular schedule of 35 hours per week.
