We are seeking a highly experienced Supply Chain Director to join our team at Novo Nordisk. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing, improving, and executing standard operations and processes for wholesaler strategy, supply chain compliance, logistics, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory and Fulfilment Planning: Develop and implement strategies for finished goods inventory management and optimization.
- Logistics & Distribution Operations:
- Oversee warehouse and transport operations, budgets, and management oversight.
- Ensure key processes are being monitored and improved when required.
- Pick and pack operations and distribution of samples for sales representatives and samples for testing by health authorities.
- Strategic alignment with vendors and ensure capacity planning for meeting future business needs.
- Participate in vendor reviews, selection, and improvement initiatives.
- Systems & Operations Quality Oversight:
- Ensure the right systems and processes are in place and secure timely review and improvements.
- Product quality and compliance through the supply chain.
- Ensure sufficient resources and support for quality investigations and root cause identification in compliance with our Quality Management System.
- Return Logistics: Oversee return logistics of products in compliance with defined processes.
- Wholesaler Relationship Management and Strategy:
- Ensure close alignment and key account management of key wholesalers.
- Maintain close communication and collaboration at operational and management levels.
- Participate in relevant industry-wide activities.
- Compliance and Key Operational Projects:
- Key compliance requirements are followed and implemented as per plan.
- Ensure sufficient resources, systems, and support for relevant operational projects.
- Secure resources from supporting organizations to meet all requirements and expectations.
A Bachelor's degree is required. Requires a minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible business-related experience, pharmaceutical experience preferred. Prior management or leadership experience required. Demonstrated strategic business planning and execution experience within supply chain. Experienced engagement and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
