As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our laboratory services, ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement laboratory strategic plans, goals, and objectives in alignment with the organization's vision and mission.
- Collaborate with the Chief of Laboratory Medicine and other stakeholders to ensure effective laboratory operations and quality patient care.
- Manage and supervise laboratory staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations as needed.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Monitor and analyze laboratory performance data, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and manage the laboratory budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and fiscal responsibility.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with senior leaders, medical staff, colleagues, patients, and the public.
- Completion of an accredited medical laboratory technology diploma program or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of six years supervisory experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong strategic leadership skills, with experience in complex organizations with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with diverse groups.
- Knowledge of laboratory information systems, data collection, and financial management.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality patient care and safety.
