Job Summary

Hamilton Kent is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Inspector to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection to verify that incoming materials meet specifications.
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure that products are being manufactured in accordance with quality operating procedures.
  • Perform final inspection of products to ensure that they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct specialized tests, such as compression set tests and tensile tests, to evaluate the quality of products.
  • Fill out all required records, including test reports and inspection sheets, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Follow the control of non-conforming product procedure to ensure that any defective products are properly identified and handled.

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all pertinent federal, provincial, and local health and safety legislative requirements.
  • Report all accidents, regardless of how minor.
  • Work in accordance with the occupational health and safety policy and all site-specific health and safety requirements.
  • Report all unsafe conditions to the Quality Manager.
  • Wear all required safety equipment.
  • Review and follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Follow all non-smoking requirements.
  • Not make any safety device inoperable.
  • Not conduct any unsafe work.

Requirements

  • Good communication skills and the ability to read and write English.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Working knowledge of computers.

Working Conditions

The Quality Assurance Inspector will spend 80% of their time on the production floor and 20% in the laboratory.
