Job Overview

BMO is actively seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst for a contract role.

BMO Capital Markets is in search of a Senior QA professional possessing robust analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written communication capabilities. The ideal candidate will exhibit attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technology and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, technical design documents, and other project artifacts to determine the scope and effort of testing.
  • Develop and review Test Strategies and Test Plans aligned with project specifications.
  • Create comprehensive test cases in accordance with established testing processes, ensuring adequate coverage and traceability.
  • Define necessary test data and environment requirements in line with project needs or modifications.
  • Execute test cases and meticulously document results and evidence within the designated test management tool.
  • Log defects in the defect management tool with precise descriptions, adhering to documented procedures.
  • Facilitate regular test status meetings for defect triage and monitor test execution progress.
  • Identify risks and escalate issues promptly, communicating any scope or schedule changes that may affect testing cycles.
  • Provide clear and concise reporting on test status and defect metrics to management.
  • Assist in business acceptance and user acceptance testing processes.
  • Collaborate with Software Developers and Leads to comprehend project objectives and outline testing requirements for automation.
  • Contribute to the development of automation frameworks and the creation and automation of test cases.
  • Oversee the review and approval of all QA documentation with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Adhere to BMO's testing processes, including tool usage and testing methodologies.

  • Quality Assurance: 10 years (Required)
  • Automation Testing (Selenium): 10 years (Required)
  • SQL Database: 10 years (Required)
  • Robot Framework: 10 years (Required)
  • Banking/Financial Industry: 10 years (Required)
