Overview

Société Financière Manuvie is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.

We are seeking an Enterprise Risk Management Professional to join our Vendor Information Risk Management team in Toronto or Waterloo. This role will be part of a hybrid work arrangement with 3 days in office.

About the Role

The successful candidate will conduct information security risk assessments for new and existing vendors, reviewing IT Controls, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery controls, and Subcontractor reviews. They will also conduct on-site visits with suppliers virtually, review and recommend IT contract clauses, and assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of information risk policies and procedures.

This is an individual contributor position that requires strong risk governance and oversight skills, as well as the ability to balance competing demands with little management direction/support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments of vendor information security controls, identifying control gaps and providing business advice and guidance on associated risks.
  • Review and recommend IT contract clauses to ensure alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement information risk policies and procedures, ensuring effective monitoring and enforcement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain currency of technical expertise and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of Third-Party Risk Assessment experience.
  • 2-3 years of IT auditing or equivalent experience.
  • Critical thinking and excellent organization and planning abilities.
  • Ability to balance competing demands with little management direction/support.
  • A passion for risk and a positive attitude.
