Our Safety Specialist plays a critical role in implementing and maintaining our safety programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of safety throughout our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety programs and procedures to prevent injuries and illnesses
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks
- Provide training and coaching to employees on safety protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Investigate incidents and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- 4-6 years of experience in safety management or a related field
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management principles
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write, and interpret information
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel
- Ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 10 hours per day
