At End Homelessness Winnipeg, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Person Centred Supports Coordinator.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with our team to implement our Strategic Plan, the Reaching Home: Community Plan, and related strategies to prevent and end homelessness in Winnipeg.

This role will support the Manager, Person Centred Supports, in developing and delivering plans, strategies, and activities that address the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness.

The Person Centred Supports Coordinator will also play a key role in the Extreme Weather and Emergency Response program, working closely with community partners and outreach teams to provide support and services to those in need.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leading the revision and research of the current Kíkinanaw Óma strategy
  • Compiling and analyzing data from surveys, interviews, and sharing circles
  • Facilitating and participating in internal and external committee meetings
  • Engaging with community partners and outreach teams
  • Supporting organizations with extreme weather and emergency response related issues
  • Assisting managers with supporting local agencies and government when building closures occur
  • Completing Extreme Weather Program claims and providing support to agencies
  • Monitoring Extreme Weather alerts
  • Creating reports, terms of reference, briefs, and other documents
  • Conducting research and creating a consultation plan and terms of reference for a Lived/Living Experience council
  • Assisting with the planning, promotion, and implementation of events such as the Gizhe Waa Ti-Sii Win Service Delivery Expo
  • Providing updates to the Manager, Person Centred Supports, on community issues, concerns, and opportunities

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree or diploma in a relevant field, preferably in the social sciences, human ecology, urban planning, or related disciplines. They will also have a minimum of 1 year of related experience in program management, with a strong understanding of community issues related to homelessness and colonization.

The Person Centred Supports Coordinator will be a skilled communicator and facilitator, with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders, including community partners, outreach teams, and government agencies.

They will also possess strong administrative, editing, and research skills, with the ability to compile, organize, and disseminate statistical and other data.

The successful candidate will be a team player, with a strong commitment to ending homelessness and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.
