Electrical Engineering Manager - Renewables

WSP Canada is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to join our ERI team in Quebec City or Montreal. As a key member of our Renewables Market leadership team, you will lead administrative, human resources, and technical management tasks within the electrical discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise a team of engineers and technicians across Canada.
  2. Oversee electrical work and provide guidance to engineers, technicians, and drafting teams.
  3. Develop initiatives to strengthen operational and technical project delivery.
  4. Lead projects in electrical engineering within our renewables market (solar, wind, and battery energy storage).
  5. Ensure quality control of deliverables.
  6. Participate in the growth of the business unit.
  7. Participate in the preparation of proposals and business development activities.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering.
  2. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Quebec or another province in Canada.
  3. At least 10+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering and engineering management.
  4. At least 5+ years of experience managing/leading a team of engineers and/or technicians.
  5. Previous experience with renewable energy projects (solar, wind, battery energy storage, etc.).
  6. Strong communication and leadership skills.
  7. Bilingual - English, French.
