We are seeking a highly skilled Human Rights Advisor - Conflict Resolution Specialist to join our team at Canada Post - Postes Canada. As a key member of our Labour Relations department, you will play a critical role in ensuring a fair and respectful work environment for all employees.
Job DescriptionThe Human Rights Advisor - Conflict Resolution Specialist will lead complex and sensitive complaint investigations, providing impartial and objective guidance to clients and business partners. You will work closely with Legal Affairs, Labour Relations, and other functions to provide advice and guidance on Human Rights and Workplace Harassment and Violence matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve complex Human Rights and Workplace Harassment and Violence complaints, conducting unbiased and fair investigations and providing recommendations and reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to promote visibility and awareness of Human Rights and Workplace Harassment and Violence through various communications mediums.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent and address Human Rights and Workplace Harassment and Violence issues, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and collective agreements.
- Provide training and support to employees on Human Rights and Workplace Harassment and Violence matters, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
- Represent Canada Post - Postes Canada in various legal settings, participating in arbitration hearings and providing testimony to support the outcome of investigations.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A post-secondary degree or diploma in Industrial Relations, Law, Human Rights, Dispute Resolution, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience in Human Rights, Complaint Investigation/Dispute Resolution, Labour Relations, or a related field.
- Considerable knowledge of related legislation, contractual obligations, and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and remain impartial in complex situations.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
