The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a premier institution dedicated to the advancement of human rights. Located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, our museum is committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity, equity, and innovation.

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to fill the role of Director, People, Culture and Growth. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for cultivating an organizational culture that aligns with our core values.

About the Role:

This strategic position plays a pivotal role in shaping the museum's internal culture as a model of respect, equity, and excellence. You will develop and implement strategies to enhance our workplace culture, collaborating closely with senior leaders to ensure people-focused initiatives support our broader strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement strategies to enhance our workplace culture and promote diversity, equity, and inclusionOversight of initiatives across various areas, including Equity, Employee and Labour Relations, Operations, Talent Management, and Learning and DevelopmentDesign leadership development programs to nurture internal talent and address skill gapsEnhance competency, encourage innovation, and promote leadership throughout the organizationInfluence CMHR's growth and reconciliation journey, ensuring we remain a leader in human rights education and advocacy

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a deep commitment to advancing reconciliation, equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. You should possess:A minimum of ten years of progressive HR leadership experience or an equivalent combination

Advanced knowledge of human rights law and expertise in creating respectful and equitable workplacesDeep expertise in human resources best practices and accompanying legislation, regulations, and policiesStrong understanding and experience in creating learning & development initiatives and/or programs

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth and development, and the chance to work in a dynamic and inclusive environment.
