Engineering Technician

BioVectra is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in design review activities, equipment selection, and specification processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Contribute to Process Hazard Analysis activities for process safety systems to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Oversee and participate in the installation of equipment, ensuring adherence to manufacturer recommendations and engineering design.
- Review and revise piping and instrumentation drawings, facility, and equipment drawings, and update AutoCAD drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Troubleshoot process systems, equipment, and instruments to resolve technical issues and ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate project work with third-party contractors and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Prepare commissioning documentation and execute commissioning test functions to ensure equipment is functioning as intended.
- Execute qualification protocols to test equipment and ensure it meets industry standards and regulations.
- Participate in Impact Assessment activities to identify critical components and ensure quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Develop and maintain maintenance and operation procedures, and train staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, CET, or MET.
- Experience in a project-based work environment.
- Industrial experience in a GMP environment is an asset.
- Ability to read, interpret, revise, and create AutoCAD drawings.
- Experience reading and writing in a technical manner.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
