Job Title: Engineering Technician

At BioVectra, we are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our team. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for participating in design review activities, equipment selection and specification process, and overseeing the installation of equipment as per manufacturer's recommendations or engineering design.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in design review activities, equipment selection and specification process.
  • Oversee and actively participate in the installation of equipment as per manufacturer's recommendations or engineering design.
  • Red-line and revise piping and instrumentation drawings (PIDs), facility and equipment drawings, and update AutoCAD drawings.
  • Troubleshoot process systems, equipment, and instruments.
  • Coordinate project work with 3rd parties, contractors, etc.
  • Prepare commissioning documentation and execute commissioning test functions.
  • Execute qualification protocols to test equipment.
  • Participate in Impact Assessment activities for equipment and utilities to determine critical components (for quality, safety and environment).
  • Write maintenance and operation procedures and train staff in the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
Requirements:
  • Post-Secondary education in Engineering, CET or MET.
  • Experience in a project-based work environment.
  • Industrial experience in a GMP environment would be an asset.
  • Ability to read, interpret, revise, and create (AutoCAD) piping, instrumentation, facility, and equipment drawings.
  • Experience reading & writing in a technical manner.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving, coordination and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
