Job Title: Conservatory Labourer

The City of Thunder Bay is seeking a reliable and skilled Conservatory Labourer to join our team. As a Conservatory Labourer, you will be responsible for performing manual labouring duties as assigned and assisting in the care and maintenance of our conservatory facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform manual labouring duties as assigned, including handling bedding out plants and operating hand-held tools and equipment.
  • Assist in the care and maintenance of our conservatory facilities, including cleaning and preparing plants for sale.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth operation of the conservatory.
  • Follow instructions and health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Two years of proven greenhouse experience in handling bedding out plants.
  • Reliable and able to perform manual labouring duties.
  • Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Health and safety conscious and able to follow instructions.
