At Architecture 49, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to join our CENTRUS team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a complex long-term heritage renovation, rehabilitation, and rejuvenation project of national interest within the Parliamentary Precinct.

The successful candidate will have a degree or diploma in architectural or building technology and at least 10 years of experience working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm. They will have a strong background in BIM principles and workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading BIM projects, construction site experience, and the ability to provide technical design solutions for construction, including interior and exterior assemblies. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead less experienced technical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing technical design and contract documents in collaboration with project teams.
  • Working with senior team members to validate that designs and deliverables conform to technical guidelines, code requirements, and regulations.
  • Providing technical design solutions for construction, including interior and exterior assemblies.
  • Coordinating internal production teams.
  • Coordinating with project sub-consultants.
  • Providing technical mentoring and leadership to less experienced technical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in architectural or building technology from a technical college.
  • 10+ years' working as a technologist or technician for an architectural consulting firm.
  • Experience leading BIM projects.
  • Construction site experience.
  • Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, REVIT software, Microsoft 365 environment, and Bluebeam.
