Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as a Vegetation Management Program Director at FortisBC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals who provide vegetation management and engage in Right of Way and Operations activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and execute vegetation management programs, staying up to date on industry standards, changing environmental conditions, and innovative practices.
  • Lead a diverse team of professionals to continually improve and execute vegetation management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility by justifying, developing, and tracking designated operating budgets and business plans, as well as tracking and reporting on vegetation management activities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university, plus a minimum of eight to 12 years of recent and related experience in construction or field utility work within a leadership capacity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to engage with key external stakeholders, ensuring compliance standards are upheld while maintaining positive company relations.
  • A goal-oriented mindset that includes the ability to set targets for yourself and your team, monitor progress, and actively make corrections to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities paired with excellent collaboration skills to engage and lead a team that guides us toward excellence.
