fortisBC, British Columbia's leading energy provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Manager to oversee our critical Vegetation Management program. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our 1.2 million customers across the province.

Your Impact:

  • Spearhead the development and execution of vegetation management projects, encompassing all phases from conception to completion.
  • Champion on-time and within-budget project delivery, effectively managing resources and budgets to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and any necessary changes.
  • Develop comprehensive project schedules, cost estimates, and risk management strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Oversee permit acquisition, site construction activities, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure seamless project closure by fulfilling all required documentation and reporting procedures.

Your Expertise:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as engineering, environmental science, or project management.
  • Demonstrate 4-7 years of proven experience in project management, ideally within the energy sector or a regulated utility environment.
  • Hold a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, which is highly desirable.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Possess exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard project management tools.
  • Be willing to travel to support field operations as required.
