Position Overview

In the role of Manager, Vegetation Programs, you will oversee a team dedicated to vegetation management and Right of Way operations. Leveraging your expertise, you will collaborate across various business areas to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers. If you possess a strategic vision to enhance our vegetation management initiatives, we invite you to contribute to the evolution of B.C.'s energy future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, refine, and implement vegetation management programs, remaining informed about industry standards, environmental changes, and innovative practices.
- Lead a diverse team of professionals to continuously enhance and execute vegetation management strategies.
- Ensure fiscal accountability by developing, justifying, and monitoring operating budgets and business plans, as well as tracking and reporting on vegetation management activities.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, along with 8 to 12 years of recent experience in construction or utility work in a leadership role.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to engage with key external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with standards while fostering positive relationships.
- A results-driven mindset with the ability to set and monitor targets for yourself and your team, making necessary adjustments to achieve objectives.
- Proven leadership skills combined with excellent collaboration abilities to guide a team towards excellence.
