Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Strategic Alliances Manager to join our team at BlackBerry QNX. As a key member of our Product & Strategy team, you will be responsible for recruiting, building, and maintaining a robust automotive ecosystem that strengthens and complements our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and recruit key silicon and software partners to help drive business capture
  • Grow and manage key strategic ecosystem partner relationships
  • Engage internal and external stakeholders to align roadmap, customer programs, and opportunities
  • Drive joint go-to-market initiatives and PR across the ecosystem to amplify our key messaging
  • Analyze emerging market and technology trends to identify technology gaps in our product portfolio and recruit best-in-class technology suppliers
  • Negotiate complex software licensing agreements to support our overall go-to-market requirements
  • Engage with Product Management, Engineering, Legal, Sales, Finance, and other groups to manage the ecosystem and participate in cross-functional initiatives
  • Perform market and customer needs analysis to develop market opportunity assessments and business model proposals to aid product roadmap investment decisions
  • Articulate and champion the value proposition for our products and services to customers and key external stakeholders
  • Lead business negotiations for all licensing and contracts related to the ecosystem accounts

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Business, or equivalent technical degree or diploma program
  • Recent automotive embedded software experience
  • Problem-solving mentality leveraging internal and/or external resources, ability to navigate complex situations, and manage conflict resolution with ecosystem partners
  • Experience negotiating legal agreements
  • Proven track record of forging and managing key relationships
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, technical marketing, or strategic alliances roles
