About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled User Experience Lead Designer to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering a UX vision and plan for evolutionary, iterative updates that actualize the larger vision over time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and Implement UX Design Processes: Develop and implement user experience design processes for our software products, ensuring they are cohesive, inclusive, and well-informed.
  • Collaborate with Product Development Teams: Work closely with product development teams to create designs that are technically feasible and support product non-functional requirements.
  • Lead and Provide Direction to a Team of UX Designers: Lead and provide direction to a team of UX designers, conducting performance reviews and creating development plans for team members.
  • Create Intuitive and Attractive User Interfaces: Design and develop intuitive and attractive user interfaces for professional software applications.
  • Define and Implement User Interface Design Standards: Define and implement user interface design standards for applications, optimizing ease-of-use and achieving an integrated and consistent look and feel.
Requirements
  • Experience and Educational Requirements: Minimum of 5 years' experience designing interfaces and working with engineers and product managers to ship designs to users, with a minimum of 2 years managing and leading UX designers. A BA/BS or MS in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, or similar field is required.
  • Minimum Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements: Experience with user field studies, usability testing, and prototyping for user research, a thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design, as well as industry best practices. A portfolio showcasing interesting and successful designs for past products is required.
