Our Civil-Structural group specializes in the engineering of foundations, buildings, and various mining and industrial structures. We focus on delivering cost-effective solutions to complex engineering challenges, from initial planning stages to design, construction, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough structural inspections for industrial projects to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Design equipment foundations and support structures, taking into account safety and durability requirements.
- Making informed technical decisions based on available data and expertise.
- Estimate and prepare detailed engineering proposals that meet client expectations.
- Ensure project timelines are met, budgets are managed effectively, and quality is maintained.
- Approve and sign off on project designs and reports, providing guidance to junior engineers as needed.
- Foster strong relationships with clients through effective communication and representation in presentations and meetings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in consulting engineering, with a focus on structural analysis and design.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta, British Columbia, or Saskatchewan.
- Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with practical experience in the field.
- Experience working on heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam, and Renewable Energy; substation design experience is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as good design practices.
- Proficiency in using software like SAP 2000 or similar tools.
