Job Title: Assistant Professor of Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Assistant Professor of Software Engineering to join our faculty at Ontario Tech University. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct innovative research programs and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct active and innovative research programs in software engineering, including software development and management, software quality & security, machine learning, or other emerging fields.
  • Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, with a focus on software engineering and related areas.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, with a focus on publishing high-quality research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Contribute to the development of new curricula and programs in software engineering, and participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Established record of excellence in innovative and experimental research, with a strong publication record in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions, with a focus on software engineering and related areas.
  • Excellent English language skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
