Job Title: Assistant Professor in Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Software Engineering. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct active and innovative research programs and teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

About the Department

The Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering (ECSE) offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in Electrical Engineering and Software Engineering, including Honours degrees and Master's and PhD programs. Our department is committed to excellence and innovation in interdisciplinary teaching and research, which is relevant to the needs of society and the local community.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct active and innovative research programs in software engineering, including software development and management, software quality & security, machine learning, or other emerging fields.
  • Teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, including courses in software engineering, computer science, and related fields.
  • Develop and maintain a strong research program, including securing external funding and publishing research in top-tier conferences and journals.
  • Contribute to the department's service activities, including committee work, student advising, and community engagement.
Requirements
  • PhD in Software Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong academic background and research experience in software engineering.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the department's service activities.
