Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst and Data Modeler to join our dynamic team focused on the development of enterprise data models and data provisioning to target data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience with data architectural approaches, and knowledge of emerging technologies such as Hadoop and Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for operational and analytical data models.
  • Work closely with technical and application architects, and developers to implement data architecture and application solutions.
  • Communicate physical database designs to database administrators and work with them to implement databases.
  • Document data flows, identify appropriate data sources, entities, relationships, and redundancies.
  • Manage data integrity and data quality.
  • Maintain technical and business metadata.
  • Generate metadata for Hadoop ingestion for different ingestion frameworks.
  • Design data structures and document data meanings, definitions, and intended use.
  • Define and document the data architecture for operational databases, reporting, and provisioning platforms.
  • Support data strategies, standards, guidelines, data quality process, and governance across the enterprise.
  • Provide leadership in researching and architecting emerging technology solutions to meet business strategies and objectives.
Requirements
  • Relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills.
  • Strong SQL, Python, and some Spark knowledge.
  • Knowledge of data architectural approaches, patterns, and emerging technologies.
  • Exposure and knowledge of Cloud platforms, cloud architecture, capabilities, and processes.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience creating architecture and strategy artifacts.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance process for metadata and lineage management.
  • Domain knowledge in financial services and enterprise functions.
