At Flexstaf IT, we are seeking a skilled Compensation Specialist to oversee our full-cycle payroll process.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and effective problem-solving abilities, with the ability to exercise sound judgment, tact, and discretion.

Job Summary
  • We estimate the salary for this role to be between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on experience.

In this critical role, you will manage the bi-weekly payroll process for approximately 400 employees, utilizing ADP Workforce Now or Ceridian software. You will review time and attendance data, track employee benefits, and prepare labor cost reports and detailed payroll reports.

You will also administer employee benefit plans and pension plans, as well as assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and terminations. Additionally, you will perform various payroll-related tasks and some HR functions as required.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work. You will work closely with the team to ensure accurate and timely compensation for all employees.

As a Compensation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting all job tasks safely and responsibly, adhering to OHSA, WSIB, MOL regulations, and workplace safety rules. You will also participate in Health and Safety training sessions and engage in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in full cycle payroll, preferably using ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Excel
