Pediatric Critical Care Clinical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Assistant to join our Pediatric Critical Care team at IWK Health. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing critical care to patients admitted with critical illness to our hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary PICU team to provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in PICU continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Support PICU education and research activities
Requirements:
- RCPSC Residency training (or equivalent) in General Pediatrics is preferred
- Successful completion of licensing exam for pediatrics
- Ability to obtain a Clinical Assistant License through CPSNS
- Demonstrated clinical competence and experience in the assessment of clinically deteriorating children
- Current PALS certification
- Current successful completion of a Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support Level (BLS) Program within the last 12 months, or successful completion of a BLS Renewal Challenge Certificate, required
