Event Security Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Event Security Officer to join our Public Safety Team at the Pacific National Exhibition. As an Event Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional guest service and ensure a safe environment for all.
- Greet and assist guests and staff in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Deal with loud and unruly guests in a calm and diplomatic manner.
- Mediate disputes on-site and remove unruly or dangerous guests from the premises.
- Search for lost guests and items as required.
- Ensure compliance with PNE Uniform and Appearance policy.
- Grade 12 completion.
- Valid BC Security License.
- Previous security experience, with event security experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of applicable laws, legal rights, and responsibilities associated with security personnel.
- Sufficient physical strength, stamina, and coordination to perform assigned tasks.
- Highly motivated and able to work alone.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, primarily Thursday to Sunday.
