Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Peter Green Hall Childrens Centre.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. This includes supervising staff, training, and volunteers, leading activities, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that meet the needs of children and their families
  • Supervise and support staff, trainees, and volunteers to ensure high-quality care and education
  • Lead activities that promote learning, creativity, and socialization
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, including maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns to management
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community service providers to provide comprehensive support for children and families
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or Diploma
  • Child Development Assistant (ECE Level 1) or higher
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Basic Security Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
