Job Description

IT TAKES A VILLAGE DAYCARE SOCIETY is seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified and caring individual to work with children aged 0-12 years old in a permanent, full-time position. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities, providing care and supervision to children, and maintaining a safe and healthy environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement child-care programs that support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and sanitizing toys and equipment.
  • Provide care and supervision to children, including feeding, bathing, and changing diapers.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and arts and crafts.
  • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs and maintaining records.
  • Lead activities and provide guidance to children.
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and report to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a child-care setting or equivalent experience.
  • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

  • Work hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
