Job Title: Early Childhood Educator

IT TAKES A VILLAGE DAYCARE SOCIETY is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to grow and develop.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified Early Childhood Educator to work with children from birth to 12 years old. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities, providing individualized care and support, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement daily activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development
  • Provide individualized care and support to children, including feeding, bathing, and dressing
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, including adhering to licensing regulations
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements:
  • Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children from birth to 12 years old
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Physical ability to lift, bend, and move children and equipment
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
