About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Westlock Inn Ltd. O/A Westlock Inn & Conference Centre. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the expectations of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train a team of cooks to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to prepare and present dishes to the highest standard.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and ensuring that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standard.
  • Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet the demands of our guests.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies, to ensure that we are operating within budget.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant or similar establishment.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
