About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker Specialist to join our team at S&A Crafts. As a key member of our custom cabinet shop, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cabinetry and millwork for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom cabinets and millwork.
  • Leadership and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, and ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials for projects, and plan workflows to meet deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a custom cabinet shop.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, manual dexterity, and ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, organized, and a team player.
Work Environment

Our custom cabinet shop is a fast-paced environment with a non-smoking policy. We offer a 40-hour workweek and a permanent work term.
