Trade Floor Support Specialist

About the Role
The Global Derivatives Technology Team at Scotiabank is seeking a highly skilled Trade Floor Support Specialist to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing first-line support to the Derivative Trading and Sales desks across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective support to resolve issues related to trade booking, P&L, risk, IR rate/FX reset, cashflow, and settlement.
- Collaborate with Business Analyst/Developer teams to resolve complex business problems and provide day-to-day support to North America business teams.
- Utilize strong SQL scripting skills, familiarity with Rest APIs, and experience with log analysis, monitoring applications, and vendor application analysis tools.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial markets and products, particularly derivative products.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional client service and support.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
- Proven experience with trading desk-facing applications and technologies.
