About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at Carewest Innovative Healthcare. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients, supporting their physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe, monitor, and report on client status and condition, including changes in physical and emotional status.
  • Ensure that changes in client status are reported to the Registered Nurse (RN) and/or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Deliver prescribed medications accurately as per policy and procedure.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards at all times, adhering to Carewest's Frame of Reference, Philosophy of Care, and policies.
Requirements
  • Graduation from Grade 12 is required, plus graduation from an Alberta Government recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English is required.
  • Must be physically capable of managing the frequent lifting, transferring, and repositioning of clients.
  • Active and current registration in the Alberta HCA Directory is required.
