Transformation Lead

Onico Solutions seeks a seasoned Transformation Lead (Finance) to spearhead large-scale finance transformation projects.
The ideal candidate will apply professional principles, practices and techniques to lead project teams and control project schedules, ensuring timely delivery and meeting client goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and project subject matter experts to define project scope, prepare project charter plans and other project materials.
- Oversight of project purpose and status to support project-level activities and ensure goal achievement.
- Manage project communication, scope, schedule risk assessment, quality standards, cost and resources within a dynamic matrix environment.
- Evaluate team skills and knowledge gaps to ensure best outcomes.
- Ensure entry/exit criteria are agreed to and met at each project gate, obtaining appropriate sign-off.
- Maintain relationships with internal partners, external vendors and consultants, flagging concerns for escalation and prompt corrective action.
- Identify and minimize exposure to project risk.
- Track, monitor and resolve project issues.
- Collaborate with project team members as needed to resolve related issues.
Qualifications
- At least 7 years of experience managing large-scale projects.
- Cross-functional business change management experience (people, process and tools).
- 3+ years of experience with finance transformation-based projects.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile and Stage Gate/Phase Gate methodologies.
- Experience with SharePoint, Jira, Visio, MS Project.
- Demonstrated knowledge of PMLC and PMP certification.
- Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
- Able to lead and influence executives and peers for optimal outcomes.
- Good verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent listening, coaching, group facilitation and conflict resolution skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Proven risk management.
This is a minimum 12-month hybrid contract role in Mississauga. The salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
