Job Summary
As the Manager, Production, you will lead the production team and drive the continuous improvement of our production processes at our local manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for building and mentoring a strong team of skilled manufacturing leaders, aligning with Arc'teryx culture and values. You will work with a dedicated team of Production Supervisors and skilled professionals, collaborating with other key departments such as Engineering, Quality, and Planning.
Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Supply Planning team to achieve alignment on capacity plan and delivery dates.
  • Establish structure and processes to ensure uninterrupted delivery of raw materials to the Production Lines.
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of high-performing frontline leadership to drive necessary behaviors and results.
  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure Production performance and track results.
  • Align with the Quality team on brand and product quality expectations and mentor the production team to uphold quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on process mapping, line balance, and new machine/technology immersion to improve productivity.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to develop Preventive Maintenance Plans and track downtime.
  • Align with Training and Talent Acquisition teams to develop effective workforce plans.
  • Lead production supervisors and the Training Team to develop and update Skill Matrix and upskill training plans.
  • Foster a high-performing and engaged workforce by developing, coaching, and empowering employees.
  • Prioritize employee engagement and proactively identify ways to improve employee relations.
  • Align with CI and PMO Team to champion the culture and responsibility of 6S and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure production-related data in internal systems is accurate and updated, providing clear visibility for reporting and planning.
  • Prepare and communicate production status updates to key collaborators on a regular basis.

About the Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a leader with a Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Operations/Manufacturing Management and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of manufacturing experience in a leadership role, with a proven track record in change management, and the ability to set a clear vision and communicate it to the team. The candidate should be result-driven, proactive, and able to balance autonomy and collaboration.
