Job Summary:

The Aircraft Production Planner will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. This individual will be responsible for planning and coordinating the production of aircraft components, ensuring that all necessary materials and resources are available to meet production deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the production of aircraft components, including material requirements, labor estimates, and tooling needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, purchasing, and engineering, to ensure that all necessary resources are available to meet production deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain accurate production schedules and plans, ensuring that all deadlines are met and production goals are achieved.
  • Conduct research and review technical data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure that all production activities are conducted in accordance with approved maintenance programs, aircraft work standards, and airworthiness requirements.
  • Identify and resolve production-related issues, working closely with production, purchasing, and engineering teams to find solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare and present production reports and data to management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Three to five years of experience in a production planning or coordination role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
  • Strong understanding of production planning principles, including material requirements planning, labor estimation, and tooling needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production-related issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field (e.g. manufacturing, engineering) preferred.
