Forestry Work Management Program Manager

About the Role:

As a Forestry Work Management Program Manager, you will be responsible for receiving assignments from supervisors and researching available resources to propose effective recommendations. You will assist in the analysis of problems and development of strategies and solutions, and assist in the delivery of solutions through service providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive assignments from supervisors and research available resources to propose effective recommendations.
  • Assist in the analysis of problems and development of strategies and solutions.
  • Assist in the delivery of solutions through service providers.
  • Monitor, control, and report on variances and redirection of programs and projects.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and specifications, and present solutions.
  • Develop, define, and prepare programs, processes, procedures, or methods related to management of Forestry work programs.
  • Maintain awareness of advancing technology developments related to transmission/distribution assets.
  • Work with others as required, and assist in the resolution of work problems.

Professional Development:

As a Forestry Work Management Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop project and program management skills, learn how to set up and conduct efficient meetings, and develop effective communication skills.

Selection Criteria:

  • Currently in 2nd year or 3rd year of a 4-year Business/Finance program.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of technical writing to prepare effective reports.
  • Knowledge of business administration and financial reporting.
  • Mathematics, information technology, analytical studies related to the application, design, and performance of the transmission/distribution system.
  • Strong communication, organization, and planning skills.
  • Ability to function effectively as a team member, with a demonstrated ability to be an agent of change.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sharepoint, Microsoft Office (Visio/Excel/Word/PowerPoint), SAP, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
