About the Job

Flynn Canada Ltd. is seeking a skilled Apprentice Roofer to join our team. As an Apprentice Roofer, you will assist experienced roofers in installing and repairing various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing systems, single-ply roofing systems, and metal roofs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation of built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Help install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Assist in the installation of single-ply roofing systems using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems.
  • Assist in instructing apprentices and other team members.
  • Help install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in the roofing industry.
  • Ability to work at heights, in noisy and dusty environments, and outdoors.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and handle heavy loads.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Dependability and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
