Job Title: Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to join our team at DMA Logistics Inc.

Job Summary:

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. This includes evaluating daily operations, monitoring department performance, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor department performance to ensure goals are met
  • Plan and organize daily operations to ensure smooth execution
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies to minimize disruptions
  • Prepare reports for senior management to inform decision-making
  • Recruit and supervise staff to ensure adequate coverage
  • Train staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and track goods in transit
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations
  • Negotiate for services and preferential rates
  • Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week
Work Environment:

The Logistics Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a large caseload and workload. They will be required to work under pressure and make sound judgments to ensure the smooth operation of the logistics department.
