Job Title: Logistics Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team at DMA Logistics Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our logistics department, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize efficiency.
  • Monitor department performance and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
  • Plan for changes to schedules and policies, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare reports for senior management, including cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Recruit and supervise staff, providing training and development opportunities.
  • Arrange for shipping documentation and the tracking and tracing of goods in transit.
  • Ensure transport compliance with regulations, including safety and security protocols.
  • Negotiate for services and preferential rates with suppliers and partners.
  • Oversee the setting of transportation service rates and monitor revenue.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Initiative and ability to take ownership of tasks and projects.
  • Judgement and ability to make informed decisions.
  • Organized and reliable, with a strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Values and ethics, with a strong commitment to customer service.
Work Environment:

The Logistics Manager will work in a fast-paced environment with a large workload, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The Logistics Manager will work 30 to 40 hours per week.
