Job Summary

V&C Logistics Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our logistics department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating activities with other work units or departments, preparing and submitting reports, and ensuring the efficient operation of computer equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Coordination: Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and submit reports to management on logistics operations, including metrics on efficiency and productivity.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of computer equipment and machinery, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Staff Development: Arrange training for staff to enhance their skills and knowledge in logistics operations.
  • Work Coordination: Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory levels to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Procedure Development: Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Operational Oversight: Plan, organize, and oversee the operational logistics of the organization to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 3-4 people, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in logistics operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
