Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Fairmont Chateau Whistler. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items for our guests, including a la carte, buffet menus, and individual dishes.

Responsibilities:

* Prepare and cook food items to a high standard, ensuring quality and presentation
* Organize and manage buffets and banquets, ensuring seamless execution
* Maintain knowledge of all menu items, daily features, and promotions
* Ensure proper labeling, dating, and storage of all items in the kitchen
* Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
* Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, and handle guest allergy concerns with care and importance

Requirements:

* Previous experience in the culinary field required
* Journeyman's papers or international equivalent an asset
* Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline required
