The Role

We're seeking a Personal Insurance Broker to join our team in the Northern ON region on a permanent, full-time basis. As a Personal Insurance Broker, you'll be responsible for:

  • Selling new policies and retaining existing business
  • Quoting new business through outbound calls, letters, and walk-in clients
  • Contacting underwriters and adjusters to discuss guidelines and policies
  • Preparing documentation for insurers, completing applications, and issuing insurance certificates
  • Staying up-to-date on underwriting rules and workflow processes
  • Participating in training initiatives and community marketing efforts
  • Processing account receivable activities and providing guidance as needed

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Relevant sales and customer service experience
  • The ability to create your own sales leads
  • A strong customer focus
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • RIBO license (an asset)
