Carpentry Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Apprentice to join our team at Bkz Reno's Inc. as a key member of our construction crew.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Assist in preparing tenders and quotations for clients.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites.
- Conduct site surveys and ensure accurate leveling.
- Provide guidance and instruction to apprentices and other team members.
- Supervise and assist other workers as needed.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other computer systems.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
- 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work at heights.
- Ability to estimate costs and materials accurately.
- Proficiency in CADD software and other computer systems.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in various weather conditions and environments. The successful candidate will be required to work at heights, lift heavy loads, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
