Carpentry Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Apprentice to join our team at Bkz Reno's Inc. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare layouts and designs for building projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and other materials.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for clients, providing detailed estimates and specifications.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fabricate and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Conduct site surveys and level checks to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Train and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software and other technology systems to support construction projects.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
- 1-2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in CADD software and other technology systems.
This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced construction environment. The successful candidate will be required to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and perform manual labor for extended periods.
