Business Segment Manager

At Marmon Industrial Water Limited, we are seeking a Business Segment Manager - Cooling Towers to lead the Cooling segment's performance, including profit and loss, team development, strategic marketing and sales, and operations.
The ideal candidate will be an effective representative of the brand, foster productive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, and seek out new opportunities to grow the Cooling segment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Cooling team to achieve results.
- Fostering a continuous improvement mindset and staying up-to-date with industry developments.
- Communicating effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Monitoring and managing budget and financials, making business decisions to adjust direction as necessary to meet goals.
- Effectively estimating projects based on customer and business requirements.
- Managing Cooling Tower sales goals and sales activity, with accountability for achieving sales and margin goals.
- Actively pursuing key accounts and new prospects.
- Supporting the marketing and sale of new towers, reconstruction jobs, and repairs.
- Developing and cultivating customer relationships by meeting with customers, conducting presentations, and discussing existing and new projects.
- Negotiating contracts, including pricing and terms and conditions, with customers.
- Responding to functional and technical requirements of new projects, requests for proposals, technical service issues, and other customer-centric inquiries.
- Effectively coaching and developing the Cooling team for growth.
- Traveling to customer sites as required throughout North America.
Requirements include:
- Minimum 5-7 years of related experience in business segment management.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, ideally in Engineering.
- Mechanical aptitude and technical background.
- Financial acumen.
- Experience in a construction project environment would be an asset.
- Proven communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel in Canada and the US, up to 40%.
