Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Assistant to join our team at Aitchison College of Technology & Health Sciences Inc. The successful candidate will provide support to teachers and students in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery
  • Support students with special needs, including those with physical, emotional, or learning disabilities
  • Monitor and report student progress to teachers and other relevant staff
  • Assist with classroom inventory and organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting
  • Knowledge of sign language, braille, or other assistive technologies
